What is Telc?
Telc stands for The European Language Certificates.The telc - language tests are currently available in 11 European languages with over 80 different tailor-made contents to choose from: general language tests at all language levels, business tests for various professions (e.g. “telc Medicine and Nursing”), tests for migrants (“Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer”) as well as tests especially designed for pupils and students. Telc Examination Format
Telc - language tests examine your language skills using objective, fair evaluation criteria based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (> CEFR). The telc exams consist of a written and an oral part and last 2 to 4 hours, depending on the language level and target group of the particular exam.

Telc Examination @ IfS
Telc tests may be repeated as often as you wish. Tests take place several times a year on fixed dates. Please notice that a minimum number of 5 participants is needed for the exam to take place.

Telc – General Exam Preparation @ IfS
Preparation for General Telc Tests is integrated in all our regular language courses, where we combine language proficiency improvement with test training. So you may write the examination to achieve a telc - certification after completion of a language level at our institute (please note that a minimum number of participants is needed for the exam to take place). You may in principle also enrol externally for a telc - exam at IfS, although we do recommend participation in one of our language course for a positive test experience.

Telc – Crash Courses @ IfS
For Telc – Business Tests we offer special crash courses. Our effective training teaches the terminology of the respective professions and provides focused practice with the test format using original example tasks and thus prepares you optimally for the telc examination.
